Barrier may have stopped Di's death

There is no reason that NCE should be allowed to ignore the inquest on the late Princess of Wales, which is a topic in all other papers. I have waited for six years and never heard any comment on the reason for the severity of the accident. The columns that the Mercedes crashed into appear unprotected from the traffic.

Surely, if there had been an Armco type barrier between the roadway and the columns, the car would have been deflected back on to the road, there would have been an order of magnitude less deceleration and even passengers who were not wearing seatbelts would probably have survived. Any comments?
