News

Developer Banner Homes last week began removing 2,000m 3of deposited material on the flood plain of the River Lodden near Gillingham, north Dorset, which had 'appeared' during the construction of a new riverside development.

'Developers must recognise that it isn't acceptable to deposit material or allow material to be deposited within the floodplain while developing a site, ' said Environment Agency development control officer Marek Hudson-Cook.
