Bam Construction wins Newcastle Airport job

Contractor Bam Construction has this week won a £3.2M project to build a terminal extension at Newcastle International Airport.

Bam Construction has been appointed as design and build contractor for the project, working with North-East architecture firm Space Architecture.

Work will see a new three storey terminal extension creating 487m² floor space, to be used by security services, which the airport hopes will drastically cut waiting times.

Work begins next month and is due for completion in 2012.
