Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering (BBGE) has aligned its divisional businesses of Pennine, Stent, Branlow, Balfour Beatty GeoEnvironmental and Testal to provide an integrated ground engineering service in Ireland for customers.
The divisions bring specialist services in the areas of ground improvement; piling and foundations; mini and micro piling; contaminated land and remediation; testing and analysis in Ireland.
“By aligning our divisional businesses in Ireland, we will be strengthening our presence in this important market and offering the best possible ground engineering package,” said BBGE executive director Graham Wren.
“BBGE will be able to offer customers fully integrated solutions in ground improvement, remediation and piling which will deliver clear cost and project management benefits on a wide range of contracts from small ground improvement works for residential developers to major infrastructure projects.”
Recently appointed geotechnics specialist James McNeill, BBGE Business Development Manager, will be the main contact for all new business opportunities in Ireland. He will divide his time between the group’s offices in Belfast and Dublin. By working with the teams already in place, his appointment will complement and build on the services that are offered by the existing offices of Pennine and Branlow in northern and southern Ireland.
“BBGE offers a wider range of innovative techniques and services than any other ground engineering contractor,” said McNeill. “By offering a one stop shop for customers, BBGE can provide clients with a single solution to their ground engineering requirements, which saves them from going to three or four contractors to achieve the same result. I am confident that BBGE’s leading design solutions will give us the edge to secure more projects in Ireland.”
