ICE news

ICE president Quentin Leiper launched the Spirit of Telford Awards during his inaugural address last week. The prize will be awarded throughout his presidency to members that demonstrate either the value of engineering knowledge, the delivery of sustainable solutions or the development of civil engineers. Leiper started the ball rolling by selecting the first three members to win the award. Professor David Hight won for excellence in engineering knowledge; Sir Neville Simms for promoting sustainable solutions; and Mike Mann (pictured) for mentoring and developing engineers.
