BAA to spend to handle predicted passenger traffic rise

News

Airport operator BAA is to spend £6.86bn on its three London airports over the next 10 years to handle most of a predicted rise in passenger traffic. It expects demand to rise by 3.9% per annum between 2005/06 and 2014/15 but capacity constraints will limit throughput growth to 3% per annum. The figures were published last week in BAA's annual 10 year traffic forecasts and capital investment plans for Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports.
