Axes of evil?

I was intrigued by the figure shown in the advert for the Construction Careers Event that has appeared in the NCE over the past few issues. It shows coordinate axes for three dimensions; x, y and z.

Unusually, but not implausibly, it shows y as the vertical ordinate. More perturbing is that the axes define a left-handed system.

The moment required to rotate the table as shown in the advert would normally be determined from the cross product of position and force vectors - in a right-handed system.

A case of subtle marketing to gain the reader's attention or artistic libertinage?
