Award of caught

Letters

The first paragraph of The boy Dunn good (NCE 17 February) mistakenly claimed that Screwfast Foundations came within a hair's breadth of winning a Queen's Award for Innovation on Valentine's Day.

Actually, it was a Rail Industry Award, for which Screwfast Foundations entered with Nuttall Finchpalm.

Screwfast is, however, entered for the Queen's Award, winners of which will be announced on the Queen's birthday, 21 April.

While I hope our innovative approach to foundations will be recognised, I would not presume to boast in advance of the award, or to take its outcome for granted.

We have worked very hard on our submission for the Queen's Award, which is the most prestigious honour, and I would be aggrieved if a printed error was to jeapordise our application.

Peter Dunn, chairman, Screwfast Foundations.peter@minisoils. co. uk
