Atlas Copco acquires Geawelltech

Sweden-based Atlas Copco has announced that it has acquired one of its distributors that also manufactures and rents its own geotechnical equipment.

Atlas Copco has said that the buyout of Geawelltech, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter, is a strategic investment.

“Geawelltech has a strong position as a one-stop-shop supplier for customers within well- and geotechnical drilling,” said Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Excavation Technique  business area president Johan Halling. “Ground engineering is a strategic segment for us, and this fits perfectly with our existing product portfolio.”
