Atkins wins two year water contract framework in Northern Ireland.

Consultant Atkins has been appointed to the Northern Ireland Rivers Agency on a two-year, £500,000 framework with an optional two-year extension.
Atkins will cary out flooding feasibility studies, design and contract administration of watercourse upgrading and flood prevention measures and environmental assessments. The framework will be led from Atkins' Belfast office which has been working for the Rivers Agency for the last eight years. The contract will draw on a broad range of the company's multidisciplinary expertise from other offices, including Warrington, Peterborough and Epsom.Project manager Stephen Orr says: 'This is an important framework win for Atkins in Belfast as it will allow us to build on the relationship we have already developed with the Rivers Agency, while working on a variety of interesting and challenging projects. 'We believe we won the contract by concentrating on the key issues that mattered to the Rivers Agency.'
