Atkins CEO joins Aggreko board

Atkins chief executive officer Uwe Krueger has been appointed as a non-executive director of hire firm Aggreko.

He starts the new role on 1 February, 2015.

Krueger has held the Atkins CEO role since August 2011. He is also on the boards of energy investment firm SUSI Partners and hygiene product manufacturer Ontex, and lectures at the University of Frankfurt on renewable energy.

Past roles include CEO of Oerlikon, which specialises in high-tech machine and plant engineering; director of Texas Pacific Group, a private equity investment firm; president of sustainability outfit Cleantech Switzerland; and various leadership positions at Hochtief. He began his career at AT Kearney, an international strategy consulting firm.

“We are delighted that Uwe will be joining the Aggreko board. Uwe’s experience in the engineering and services sector, combined with his understanding of renewable energy, will bring further expertise to the Aggreko board. We look forward to working with him,”said Aggreko chairman Ken Hanna.
