Atkins appoints new North America chief

Consultant Atkins has this week appointed Joe Boyer as its new chief executive officer for North America.

Joe Boyer is leaving his job as president of contractor Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure’s federal division to join the consultant. He will replace major general Dean Fox, who is retiring.

“Mr Boyer is a civil engineer by profession who has worked on some of the United States’ largest and most important infrastructure projects,” said Atkins chief executive officer Uwe Krueger.

“He has a proven track record of leading organisations to growth and delivering high performance which is why we have invited him to lead our North America region.”

Boyer will start at Atkins on 18 March 2013.
