Chief concern for many at the show will be the forthcoming Asbestos at Work Act, which kicks in on 21 May.
Many firms are struggling to get cover for the £80bn of predicted construction work in this field. Surveyors are leading the battle for cover, as they will be first in to assess non-domestic properties. But next in line will be designers who must have solid cover in view of hardening CDM requirements.
