Applications for ADSC workshop

June 2008, Chattanooga, Tennessee.

ADSC, the International Association of Foundation Drilling is hosting a ve-day foundation engineering faculty workshop for civil engineering academicians.

Attendance is by application only.

The ADSC will provide the programme at no cost to the 50 selected applicants (excluding travel to Chattanooga). The workshop will aim to provide attendees with the tools needed to teach drilled shaft and anchored earth retention design for foundation engineering studies at both undergraduate and graduate level. It will focus on drilled shafts, anchors and micropiles. Participants will receive a take-home electronic teaching package containing texts, manuals and audio visual aids.

In addition to classroom sessions, the programme includes field demonstrations of the latest construction and testing techniques.
