Antony Oliver steps down as NCE editor after 13 years at the helm

NCE editor Antony Oliver this week announced that he is to step down after 13 years in the role and over 19 years with the flagship civil engineering brand.

He leaves in November to join the Association for Consultancy & Engineering (ACE) team.

Oliver will continue to be involved in key NCE activities until his departure and will work with the NCE management team at subscriptions and content business Emap to prepare the hand over of this important industry role.

“My two decades with NCE have been an amazing experience. It has been a real privilege to work so closely with some amazing professionals from the ICE and the civil engineering community and to lead an incredible brand with such a rich history and brilliant team behind it,” said Oliver.

Emap chief executive Natasha Christie-Miller added that the process of recruiting a new editor had already started. “NCE is a brilliant brand and while Antony’s presence will be missed, I know that under new leadership it will continue to act as the authoritative voice for the profession and the unrivalled brand in the civil engineering community.”
