Mike Savage has been appointed laboratory manager at Weeks Laboratories in Maidstone, following the death of Dave Purves. In Scotland, Lynsay Pickering has become chemistry business co-ordinator and will be based at the Glasgow laboratory.

Ian Fraser has been promoted to managing director of Polyfelt Geosynthetics. This follows the death earlier this year of John Curtis. Fraser was previously technical manager.

Pennine Vibropiling has promoted Marc Evans to technical director. He joined in 1996 as technical manager.

Alison Norrish and Richard Grant have joined Benaim as senior geotechnical engineers.

Jamie Robinson has qualified as a specialist in land condition (SiLC). He is regional associate with Parsons Brinckerhoff and becomes one of 21 registered SiLCs.

Simon Holt has moved from CL Associates to become design engineer with Keller Comtec in Maidstone.

Nicholson Construction has appointed Don Dotson as chief engineer. He joins the Nashville based company after four years with Amec.
