Colin Serridge has joined Pennine Vibropiling as principal geotechnical engineer for ground improvement. Previously with Bauer (UK), Serridge has 14 years experience in a variety of projects in the UK and the Middle East.

Graham Corio has joined Geolabs as technical manager ofits laboratory filities in Watfd, Hertfordshire.

John Bonney, founder and technical manager of Thyssen Geotechnical has retired after 32 years with the firm. He is replaced by Jim Goodfellow who joined the company in 1984.

Buro Happold Ground Engineering has launched a dedicated service in the north ofEngland, operating from its Leeds and Manchester offices. It is headed by northern area manager Hakop Mirzabaigian.

SLR Consulting's Hydrogeological and Risk Assessment Group has expanded to cover the Midlands and Scotland. Senior hydrologist Gordon Robb is based in Glasgow and project hydrogeologist Richard Mitchener has joined the Redditch office from ESI.
