AMEC wins Thamesline station contract

Construction giant AMEC has been awarded the contract to provide mechanical, electrical and piped services to the Thames link station beneath St Pancras in London.
The new station, whose structure is already complete, will be a vital connection between the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and the rail network. AMEC will undertake the design, procurement, installation and integration of the mechanical, electrical and specialist services for the new station. Work will be carried out alongside the existing railway and will therefore require careful phasing to prevent disruption to services. The project will start immediately and should be completed late this year.
