Alstom

Alstom (formerly Alsthom) Signalling has been confirmed as preferred contractor for the West Coast Main Line's new train control system. The contract, worth between £500M and £1bn, will see the traditional trackside signal replaced with a radio based in-cab system (NCE 21 May).
