Alliance against the Birmingham Northern Relief Road

Legal action taken by the Alliance against the Birmingham Northern Relief Road - the group of local residents and businesses opposed to the £300M private toll road - to force the Highways Agency to disclose details of the concession agreement began last Friday in London's High Court. The case was not expected to reach a conclusion until today (Thursday) after the scale of evidence forced the judge to extend proceedings from one to three days.
