Aggregates Tax

The Aggregates Tax has become law after receiving Royal Assent on 11 May in the Finance Bill. The law means a £1.60 per tonne flat tax on all aggregate materials used for construction, regardless of price, quality or source of supply. The Quarry Products Association condemned the law and said the tax will cost jobs while adding £385M to construction costs across the UK.
