Aecom acquires Asian cost consultant KPK

Aecom has bought Asian cost consultant KPK to boost its own Davis Langdon cost consultancy arm’s international reach.

KPK, which services clients in both the public and private sectors, was established in 1973 and has more than 600 people in China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

“KPK will enhance the offerings of our Davis Langdon cost and project consultancy business throughout Asia, which is part of our targeted, balanced growth strategy,” said Aecom chief executive John Dionisio. Once the deal completes Aecom will have over 8,000 staff across Asia.

“This is a very significant development for Davis Langdon,” added Davis Langdon chief executive Bob Pell. “Asia has enormous growth potential for us and this extension of our business in the region supports our desire to grow market share and expand our services, geographic reach and sector coverage there.”

The acquired firm will operate as Davis Langdon KPK.
