ACE launches third benchmarking project

The Association for Consultancy & Engineering (ACE) has commissioned a benchmarking study for to examine the performance of consultancy businesses.
This is the third year in a row the ACE has commissioned the benchmarking study of financial performance, sectors of work, staff turnover, utilisation rates, health and safety performance, marketing performance and success at winning work. The study will highlight areas in which companies are under or over performing against their peers or competitors, highlighting areas to improve.Sinclair Knight Merz chief operating officer Peter MacKellar, said: 'We fully support ACE's benchmarking initiative. What has really impressed me about the exercise is the level of detail provided, be it on revenue, staff costs, overheads, the whole lot.'It's been very useful and has highlighted exactly where the hot spots are and enabled us to give those areas more attention. We wouldn't have been able to do that so easily were it not for this survey,' he said.
