A10 will miss opening date

The troubled £25M A10 Wadesmill Bypass in Hertfordshire will miss its planned August opening date, the Highways Agency confirmed this week. The Agency also stated that 35% of the completed flexible carriageway will have to be totally relaid due to sulphateinduced heave of the lime stabilised capping layer below, 10% more than originally estimated (NCE 10 June).

October is now the estimated completion date.
