9= Odyssey Project Belfast, 90M

Belfast's Odyssey project includes a 10,000 seat indoor arena with a 90m span steel framed roof. This will house an ice rink, retractable seating and a retractable running track. The project also includes a cinema complex including a 360degrees Imax screen.

So far client Odyssey Trust's project manager PSW Projects has kept procurement running to schedule and contracts for the main buildings should be let within the next few weeks. Preferred contractor is a joint venture between Farrans and Gilbert Ash and construction manager is expected to be Bovis.

Odyssey Trust has secured funding to match the 45M Millennium Commission grant. With this in place the project is well placed to meet the November 2000 completion deadline.
