London property developer Cherren III was fined £25,000 at Southwark Crown Court this week for health and safety breaches which led to the death of heating engineer Mark Butler. Butler was working on buildings in Fitzroy Square in central London on 9 October 2000 when he fell from an unguarded ladder on the ground floor through to the basement, a height of 2.4m.
