3rd prize winner:

Engineering Image 2005

Practical Photography reader, Tim Shaw: 'The Falkirk Wheel is a simple idea that has become an elegant working monument to British engineering. It has revitalised the area, attracting many visitors and boats wanting to cross from the east and west coasts of Scotland. I tried to show how it works and give a feeling of scale to the graceful machine.' Taken in March. Camera settings: Olympus C-300 3mp Zoom set on landscape mode. Five shots taken as the wheel moved. And sections cut out and pasted in the various positions in Photoshop.
