2012 Olympics

lThe government is to decide in the autumn whether to gear up a London bid for the 2012 Olympics. A report by Arup produced for the government, London Development Agency, British Olympic Association and UK Sport recommends basing the bid in Stratford and east London. The Dome is one option as a venue for indoor events such as swimming.

Owner AEG says it is already considering a range of national and international events as part of its future strategy.
