16% reduction in delays for Network Rail


Network Rail improved performance on the railway in the first half of the year, with a 16% reduction in delays.

Operating profit rose to £225 from a £95M loss in the same period last year. Turnover increased from £1,501M to £1,847M and operating costs were cut by £70M.
