Contracts have been signed for the £113M Wythenshawe Hospital development in south Manchester. The scheme is part funded by a £66M private finance deal to be carried out by South Manchester Healthcare, a consortium of Alfred McAlpine, WS Atkins, Gardner Merchant Services Group and Innisfree. Work is expected to start within a month, with facilities due to open in 2001.
